ah, yes. alia is back. bow down, fools.

i have now devised a plan to move to paris in eight years. in that time, i will be able to finish collge and grad school and take a few french classes.

needless to say, i loved the trip.

london was great. my family and i found in one of its busiest subway stations in the middle of the morning rush hour. but to be honest with you, in london, every hour is rush hour. there are so many people always bustling around on the streets and in the "tube". i might even have a half a mind to say that london is busier than new york city (the city that i will always love, no matter what). we went to the typical tourist attractions, big ben, the tower of london, buckingham palace, but i also had the great pleasure to go to the camden town market (and, for all of you chicagoans reading, camden town is the belmont of london), where i stocked up on riduculousy big pants, skirt, and pins, among other things. as a result, i have alovely new wardrobe to unveil to all of those that care.

as for paris, i absolutely loved everything about it. contrary to popular belief, the french are very nice and helpful people, they didn't try to kill me because i was an american and ignored the fact that i didn't know a bit of french when i was asking for directions. it's a pretty small city as well, so we saw all of the big landmark stuff in just one day. i loved walking around and just watching the people, eating in outdoor cafés and just enjoying the sights. i'm just adding this general update now, but i'll tell some stories soon. i'm suffering from a bit of jet lag at the moment, but there will be pictures and tales up soon.
